First, let me tell you that I am short. I stand 5’6.5 on a great day. I started rowing at the Bolles School in Jacksonville Florida in 1994 - where we had probably 50 athletes and four boats! Needless to say, we were a running team that liked to row from time to time. It was the first year of rowing at Bolles!
My junior and senior year I rowed at St. Andrew’s School in DE and just fell in love with the sport. I loved how it epitomized teamwork and I had a great coach and teammates. I rowed for four years at Harvard on the Radcliffe Heavyweight squad - racing at NCAA from 1998-2001. I was elected Team Commodore my Senior year and was selected to Second Team All-Ivy.
I started coaching shortly after finishing college, first as the Assistant Rowing Coach for the Radcliffe Heavyweights. We won the Eastern Sprints and NCAA that year (2003) and I never looked back from coaching! I coached at Pine Crest in Ft. Lauderdale FL winning the State Championship title in the Varsity 8+ and after taking a short break to start a family, began Ready Set Row.®
I have coached over 1000 athletes at camps, clinics and virtual training. And I LOVE showing young athletes that they can do more than they think they can.
